So Long Farewell But You Never Said Goodbye
Approx. 1.30 am was the last time I talked to my grandma, rubbed her chest and gave her a best massage on her forehead. Like every night, she asked me to go to sleep then.
5 hours plus later when I woke up and came down to change for working clothes, I noticed something has not been the same like every morning. As each and every morning, she would be awaken and move her head and hands, but this morning, she was in total relaxation. I was noticing her from my stairs and I didn't believe it, I thought my eyes were so blur that I did not see her moving nor breathing. I ignored it and went on choosing my working attire as I thought something must be wrong then. So I went beside her, realizing that her chest did not move a bit and I called her several times, she did not respond. I was like ...... *Oh Shit!*
I went up and told my father that grandma is not responding to my call and he jumped up like no other times before. She was hardly breathing since the midnight and her pain was extraordinary, from the throat to her stomach and headache. She should be leaving this world at approx. 5 am as her body was still warm at 7 am. She is 87, has recently battled with pneumonia, lung cancer, diabetes cardiovascular problem and bone cancer. A tough chick she was. May her soul rest in peace in another world.
