HUGZ

hugz

Hugz, recently opened by a friend of mine in SS15, Subang Jaya just opposite Darussalam mamak. It's basically a Hong Kong style cafe mix with Malaysian culture. It's air-conditioned, slow fan and anyone can smoke anywhere in the cafe. The prices er, average...

Walls are self-painted by my friend

Also self-paint.

Another self painted masterpiece

My favourite mix - First Love (Left)

They have got UNO cards, playcards and magazines. Sit there as long as you can.

KL RatRace 2005 6 Sept 2005

The Kuala Lumpur Rat Race 2005, the charity run co organised by Bursa Malaysia Berhad (Malaysia Stock Exhange) has raised RM821,000, the largest amount collected since the inaugural race in year 2000.

The annual race for charity constitutes the CEO's race which covers a distance of 1km and the participants race comprising executives and management from amongst Malaysia's corporations which covers a distance of 4.5km around Kuala Lumpur's Financial District. Both races were flagged off after 5.00pm at the Exchange Square (Bursa Malaysia Square), Bukit Kewangan. 490 participants - CEOs, Executives and Management from the 98 teams, from the 56 participating organizations including 9 CEOs participated in the race this year.

The Singapore Stock Exchange had sent two teams as well for the second time. For the team event, RHB Berhad who had sent in 12 teams came in first, with CIMB Berhad in second and Southern Bank Berhad in third place.

The ratrace

In fact, I found out the race isn't really a race of getting the triumph of 1st, 2nd or 3rd place. It is because some are obliged to race, but most of them were really came to promote their spirit of the respective companies. As for me, I totally had no idea why the hell I was there for. However later of the day, I found my own joy in the event anyway.

What so special I figured out about this race was that the participants were wearing business attire to run and even some had made their own creative versions of costumes, not to mention 3 guys holding a made-of-boardpaper train which had a muffler attached at the back of it, running for 4 KMs (GE team). Some had cheese around their body, some had brought along matress, pillow and bolsters (IKEA team), some also grabbing big light bulb and an aeroplane engine while running. Fascinating!

Leo Ku In Concert 3rd Sept 2005

One of the newly crowned Big Four Kings of Heaven is a very punctual man. Our ticket said it's 20:00, he did come to start at 20:00. Held at the Genting Arena of Stars, the environment was not Humid and Hot Sweaty as in Kuala Lumpur. The crowd was in good manner and controlled, and everything was steady without chaos and confusion. Yeah!

The atmosphere:

All of the Leo Ku fans

There weren't many people screaming, just a few of boys shouting for "Leng Jai" (Pretty boy) and "Ku Gui Gei" while others were extremely polite.

We did Mexican Wave too. Leo's dressup was gorgeous and colourful throughout the night. There were grafittis falling, aliens, astronauts, Jade Solid Gold and umbrella man themes, like the old skool concerts with some dancers perform with the superstar at the centre.

Alex Fung Li Shen came as guest star, performed 2 songs, then ciao-ed

Leo Ku in performance

Hair is black but gold at the front. Once he wore a blue wig too!

Urgh, very emotional

He then thank us all being his fans, it was seemed to be over....

And it was over

The bright lights switched on, some people already made a move to reach the exit doors, but we are not going back! Some of us did not feel satisfied throughout the night, so we screamed for his name and encore, commanding him to come out again ...

The lights are on, and we are not going back

People stood up on their seats

He couldn't stand the pressure, he praised Malaysians spirits are greater than what he expected..

He finally came out again to sing the Dog and Cat

Everyone was then contented, happpily heading to the exits..

The Arena we used to watch Westlife years ago

The songs that Leo sang the entire night can be purchased to listen at the convenience in the house at Night Markets with the CD entitled Leo Ku in Concert. It's almost indifferent.
