The Eve of Chinese New Year

It's the eve of Chinese New Year, let go of everything. Let's celebrate it!

Fuhh.. Roast Chicken, Assam Fish, Vege, Prawns, Salad, Soup and Sharks Fin, and bananas - the heaviest and greatest meal once every year. And I feel prosperous today!

Birthday

My good friend had a birthday recently. And his birthday cake looked like this!

What the...... Horizontal candles!

Haaaappi BurfDay Loping.....! and to UmenG!

Toilet.....

Spotted another weird notice in the Japanese company recently. This time, it's in the toilet. The notice reads:

Notice in Malay language.

Which, direct translated to English, it reads: "Please take care of your handphone!!! So that it will not fall into the toilet bowl.

If your handphone falls into the hole and it clogged the toilet, you have to pay for the repairs...

The Management"

What else in the production area? I would keen to find out.

This is a plant that I spotted, that's very nice and hope one day I can buy it somewhere in Kuala Lumpur.

What kinda plant is this?

The Japanese did not speak to us, nor we need to speak to them, although they are the superiors. Coz I noticed even the permanent staff in the office can hardly talk and listen to Japanese! Hearing them talking in English is like so difficult, twisting and rolling their tongue. Well, this is what they studied anyway. They do study English, but their English is written in Japanese pronounciations. Toughhhh..

The superiors did not talk to us, so they ordered their staff to treat us lunch.

California Pizza!! She's Kelly-Jang.

Smoking ..

Recently I am auditing a Japanese company manufacturing handphone cases and car dash boards in Bangi, Malaysia. Workers there have free lunch and dinner everyday! I think breakfast too. Most of the staff there do smoke alot, so as the management. We have a smoking area in the office with fan ventilators specially made for it, the ground floor and each room is equipped with a ashtray. Too bad none of my team members smokes, not even a social smoker. I saw a notice sticked on the wall at the ground floor sming area, which reads:

Is it for real?

Stocktake

I went to Kluang, Johor for a stocktake with a vacation trainee, John. So what the hell is stocktake for? We, as the third party auditors, need to go to the Company's inventory to count its stocks, whether it is stating correctly as per their record. I was rushing audit working papers the previous day and I did not sleep before I went to outstation. It was nice that the client who was driving 4 of us there. This time, the Company's principal business activity is cattle breeding, research and selling. I was dooomed.... I have to count cows and bulls!

On the way to Kluang required 4 hours of decent driving (120-130KM/h with a Renault Kangoo, what am I expecting?) and the journey was hell of tiredness (not the road was bumpy, but I did not sleep previous day). It is also on the way to Mersing, Johor, the town jetty to go to Tioman Island. I sat at the back and kept my eyes open as long as I can, but John decided to have a rest. So his head looked like this from my view:

Up .....

Down... and on and on and on.. Hehe

When we reached the cattle farm, unexpectedly, the place was quite well organized and clean. But they just can't get rid of the cattle smells.

It's a clean place to be!

Feeding time

These calves are extremely pitiful - they are castrated by the humans!

We then went to the paddocks to count the non-pregnant cows. They were so friendly and intimidating.

Distance was about 1-2 metres

They were stoned and stared at us when we arrived at the paddock. Soon, they began to come closer and form a gathering, as if we had food to feed. We were almost surrounded as we were counting them.

More and more coming

After finished counting, we went off. As I was the last one at the back, the cows started to follow us back to our jeep. Hundreds of them followed our walking pace, while some of them running, as if they were chasing behind me.

Bullrun!

It has just reached earth few hours ago! Unregistered of course

Great landscapes, fresh air, adventurous. Behind me were pregnant cows - the most difficult things to count

A pic of Mr. 249. This is the best picture I've taken for the day. Ugly, but exremely adorable. Its tongue reached out is as long as my palm to my fingertips!

Entirely a different experience in the outskirts.

We took alot of time taking pictures than rather eating. The food was served not warm, and they did not look and taste appetizing. In fact, all these pictures were taken from others' cameras, I forgot to bring mine.

There were no games to play, the dance show was only a short while (I missed it entirely) and the lucky draw was not announced verbally, in which made it so "low-profiled". I think lucky draws excites everyone and it is involving everyone.

Parking in Hilton / Meridien Sentral was killing me. Well overall, the night was ... I rate it as so-so. We and some others were not concerned, not involved, and we were trying to look for our enjoyment at annual dinner. Anyway, good to have an annual dinner than none though, an experience will not be forgotten.

Do forgive me for the names that I forgot. But do understand that there are hundreds of people in the firm and tonnes of clients' companies and person names that are shared in my lil memory.
