Concert of the Hong Kong Four Heavenly Kings

Andy Lau, one of the most active of the Four Hong Kong Heavenly Kings, arrived in Malaysia to promote its Vision Tour concert on the 10 December 2005 at Stadium Merdeka. As advertised in radio channels, this would be a biggest event ("Lung Zhung Yan Bao!") as he will never ever perform any concerts anymore. We booked the seat at RM350 for the 24th row of front seats right facing straight the stage. Only a great long time fan can get this kind of seats. Well, our principle of watching concerts is - near or never. Our position of taking pictures was perfect!

It was raining heavily in the afternoon, glad it stopped at 7 plus evening before the concert started. Otherwise, no pics for anyone. We arrived at 5 plus and parked the car 10 seconds from the entrance. kewl ya! =o) I managed to take as many pics as I could, but unfortunate event happened. Scroll on.

Look at the PEeeepLE!

Reached our wired plastic seats at 8 pm and discovered they are all wet! Surprisingly, the management gave free tissues to help ourselves with that problem.

I was thinking what was that all about? The stage was so simple!

It suddenly blackout

Damn.its actually the door! and it opened

WooOo.. open up

The spotlights....Pain in the eyes

Ting! (I just put a lil sound effect. Actually there was no sound)

There's the King of Heaven, with his favourite pose

Dancing and singing

Suddenly...............

After the smoke faded, they were squating, unable to spot Andy Lau's position

There they are again

Yeah. Bring it on Wah Chai (Lil Wah)

Tempo slowing and slowing

Poooom.. Smokey again and fuhhhh... the ultimate Andy Lau branding pose seen in the middle of mist:

Yeah!

The projection has lyrics on it. So I knew it was a Karaoke concert

Andy then told us he has got a moustache already, we can call him Leng Chai Wah (Handsome Wah), he wouldn't mind. And therefore some of the guys were screaming Leng Chai Wah! Leng Chai Wah!

In the middle of his songs....

Narnia lion came out! Nah.. its white. I wonder there's white lion in this world? I know there's white tiger

The lion then wandered around the stage, being so tame to Andy Lau. At times I noticed the lion suddenly shook its head, and shook its butt while walking..

Roar! *Shake head* *Shake head* Roar!

Cobra. Nice!

Roman theme

Andy holding on his beautiful chick. Others playing white clothes

In the middle of everything, I noticed something blinking on my camera screen. LOW BATT struck me! I tried to conserve as much power as I could for the remaining hours, so I took one pic on every change of background/theme or something special.

Background was extraordinary. Rome at dusk and dancer doing acrobatic moves on a big banana

And the camera just gave up like that. It died. I tried to pump the on button again and again. It didn't respond. I missed out the Chinese traditional opera theme and the fake horse Andy was riding on. The background was full of red lanterns and the entire stage was red as well. Unfortunately, the camera was pronounced RIP.

After some time passed, I switched on the camera, and the lights turned green but without graphics on the screen. I just shoot at the scene and voila, my very last pic of the day, without zoom and night settings:

Typical Hong Kong entertainment show

Andy was smart. He knew we would shout him out for encore, just like we did to his counterpart Leo Ku concert in Genting last couple of months ago. He expressed his happiness and glad for us supporting him for so long, and remembering him, and so he gave us fireworks as a gift to us as his fans. We all looked up and he was the first to run backstage, followed by his dancers moments later. The timing was very nice that the door closed after the fireworks finished. We shouted for encore, and we looked at the big red door sealed so tight, we lost mood to call for encore. The spirit died instantly.

So the last Andy Lau concert ended with everyone felt contented. So am I.

Was Miss Universe, Now Miss World

End of year is now, and Miss World 2005 is on again. Held in in Sanyan, south China's Hainan province. The event:

Nice....

Awesome!

More than a hundred of pegeants took part. So I filtered all the quality and look good in picture ones. Who is the queen?

Miss Hong Kong - sweet

Miss Hong Kong
- innocent

Miss Iceland - looks like a miss world queen already

Miss Iceland

Miss Albania

Miss Albania - Armani model

Miss England - Great eyes and er, accent..

Miss Korea - television superstar. Not here...?

Miss Korea

Miss Julia Kong, a friend of mine ... Nah it's Miss Japan. But she looks like her!

Miss Japan

Miss India - wow....! Not bad ei..

Miss Moldova

Miss Malaysia.OooOo

Miss Malaysia - I think the clothing does spoil the image

Miss People's Replubic of China

Miss Taiwan

Miss Thailand - If Miss World is held in Malaysia, she has to do "ear squats" procedures to confirm the gender.

I personally do not watch the show actually. I'd prefer looking at their pictures coz most of them doesn't look as good as in the pictures and some of them talk funny English accents, which I find it hard to understand.. But anyway, I seldom watch tv afterall.

How is Miss World originated?

Eric Morley, The Founder
Eric Morley was loved and revered by a great many people, from the most famous to the most humble. He touched all their lives and made a difference to so many. Here are just some of the landmarks in his remarkable life. Although Eric Morley started at Mecca in 1946 as a £15-a-week PR man, he finished as Chairman!

He turned Mecca from a small catering and dance company into the country's top entertainment and catering company with 15,000 employees covering dancing, catering, bingo, gaming, ice-skating, bowling alleys, discos and the main City restaurants. It also provided the catering and entertainment facilities for the big London football teams - Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

In 1948 Eric originated the BBC 'Come Dancing' series and in the following years started a series of competitions to encourage better dress sense amongst those frequenting dance halls. The success of Come Dancing can be measured in that it became the longest running television series in history.

In 1951 Eric began the Miss World competition. The BBC televised Miss World from 1959 to 1979 and Thames Television carried it from 1980 to 1988. At its peak, the show drew an audience of 27.5 million in Britain alone. This was comparable to a royal wedding!

An assiduous worker for charity, Eric with his wife Julia raised more than £100 million over the years for various causes. He completed the London Marathon when he was 63, despite a damaged hamstring.

He was also a long-time supporter of the Variety Club of Great Britain, as a Barker in 1961 and Chief Barker in 1973, when he raised over £2 million. He then became President of Variety Clubs International in 1978 and was also President of the Outward Bound Trust.

Marilyn Manson Gets Married?

Marilyn Manson doesn't seemed happy on his wedding day.

Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, married 33-year-old Heather Sweet in front of about 60 guests at Castle Gurteen, the home of a friend in Kilsheelan, County Tipperary, the magazine reported.

Sweet is a burlesque dancer who uses the stage name Dita Von Teese. They have been dating for four years and Manson proposed at their Los Angeles home in March 2004, People reported.
It was the first marriage for both.

Manson, 36, wore a black silk taffeta tuxedo and Von Teese was in royal purple silk taffeta with a corset. They were married in a non-denominational ceremony conducted by underground filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky, a friend of Manson, the magazine reported.

Well, everyone has to get married. Even the Son of Satan would want to have a family.

Be Prepared When You Travel To/In Malaysia - II

As per my previous post on the 12 Nov 2005 regarding the alert on tourists safety travelling to/in Malaysia, another incident happened to four Chinese tourists on 4 Nov and this has been spreading accross mobile phones via Multimedia Messaging Service. This time, about 8 newspapers in Malaysia has published this barbaric event on the headlines. Lucky for the police force, the victim (Chinese tourist) in the picture was cought being force stripped and "ear squat"by a policewoman, not a policeman. What if it was seen by the public that the police was a "he". Should anyone has a "he" instead of "she" police, please circularise via same medium (MMS) or another (the Internet), as it can put more pressure on the Malaysian government to make a faster and bigger revamp on the entire Royal Malaysian Police Force's internal control and its management once and for all.

Policewoman using her power of authority, instructing a Chinese tourist to perform "ear-squat" whilst other personnel examining her travel documents - she was totally naked dude!

It is surely a big whole question on this phenomenon. As for me, as a Malaysian born, doing the stupid "ear squat" is typically normal scene when I was in primary or early high school, because of being cought obstructing school policy and regulations. It felt like a fool doing it.

What the fuck for implying this way of punishment to adults, who is only suspected to have done something wrong. Is the police force targetting weaker people? Or they just hate Chinese to have more influence in Malaysia? I guess they have some policies, but they are just not written black and white. Anyone can be an illegal here in Malaysia, we have tonnes of Indons, Phillipinos, Myanmar, Indians and Thais who are illegals, not the only Chinese. In fact, due to its nature of the barbaric police force, some unfortunate skin colours are treated differently.

There's something the police can do - There are quite a number of people coming from southern Thailand, ask for their travel documents. But before you do so, ask them to strip in front of you and perform ear squat first. Slap them if they got blushed.

The motto of the police force - Cepat (Fast to act), Mesra (Friendly) and Betul (Do the Right Thing) is totally opposite word by word, in reality. Let's face it.

My Chin Up Gym Bar

Last weekend was an awful one. I went to rock/wall climbing after a year plus of cessation. It was quite long that they even changed the management. I think my stamina has not been good and my strength feels de-powering. Though I have a monthly tight budget, I had decided to get a chin-up bar, which I had wanted to buy months ago. As I am now working on Fitness First accounts, I certainly would want to feel "powered" everyday I step foot on the client's place.

My chin-up bar

What's so special about this chin-up bar?
Well, it can hold upto 200 pounds without any screws attached to it, even to the door frame! It uses a simple scientific pressure mechanism, and it has rubber at its both edges to prevent your door frame to have any dents or holes on it. Convenient. Portable. Kewl for "people on the move".

Be Prepared When You Travel To/In Malaysia

In case that you did not or not able to read The Star newspaper, kindly be aware of the police here in Malaysia. They are considered not helpful, totally money minded "bribery business negotiators" and they may harrass you in a way beyond your imagination of what a police can do to your most basic human rights. It is not uncommon, and below is not the only one case. Uncountable cases were unexposed.

PETALING JAYA: A 35-year-old housewife claimed she was forced to strip at a police station in Sungai Buloh, and that several policemen and policewomen there had also taken her money.
This alleged incident and a complaint by a remisier that an investigating officer at the district police headquarters here had asked for a bribe surfaced barely a week after all police contingents were supplied with button badges against graft.

The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, said she and the other Chinese woman produced their passports, but the policeman was not convinced that the documents were genuine.
Using a hand gesture, the policeman allegedly demanded RM500 from them.

“Since both of us were carrying valid passports, we refused to give the policeman anything. We were then taken to the police station,” she said.

The housewife claimed that when they arrived at the police station, a policewoman took five pieces of RM10 notes from her handbag. The money was divided among four police personnel.
She added that during a body search at the station, she was instructed to take off her clothes.
“A policewoman grabbed my breast and slapped me when I blushed.
“I was then forced to take off my undergarments and do five ear squats.
“I saw a policeman peeping then,” she said, adding that the room door was shut tight only when she screamed.

When her husband showed up later at the police station with their marriage certificate, the investigating officer also refused to consider the document as genuine.

The two Chinese women were only released on Nov 7 after the Immigration Department confirmed their passports were genuine.

Seputeh MP Theresa Kok (the human rights opposition party) accompanied the housewife to lodge a complaint at the Federal police disciplinary division and the Anti-Corruption Agency the next day.

In the other complaint, an investigating officer allegedly asked a remisier for cash when he came to the station after learning that the police had detained his friend’s wife, also a Chinese national. The sergeant allegedly refused to speed up the passport verification process unless cash was paid. The remisier said the policeman did not demand a specific amount. Petaling Jaya OCPD, ACP Mohd Hazam Abdul Halim said he would leave it to the Federal police and the ACA to investigate the complaints.

He, however, advised the housewife to also lodge a police report at the district police headquarters here for investigations to be conducted.

The victim:

Did not expect she's so chun

When you are in Malaysia, you can see one of the tallest building in the world, you hear pleasant electronic greetings, but you do not have the most basic thing in life - your human rights. Because those luxuries are exploited from the human rights itself - bribery and discrimination - and its rating is going up compared to other countries in the world!
